Default "Green" Chests

I was just thinking, maybe it'd be a good idea for chests in GW to drop green items every now and then. These greens wouldn't be the kind you can get from farming bosses, but they'd be similar and hopefully rarer (since farmers can't farm a single boss and flood the market with that one item).

The rates of dropping greens should be pretty low, but when they do drop, they should be max stats.

It could also be fun if some of these green items had upgrades, but those upgrade items are greens and you had to find them seperately (and that mod will only fit on that green and that green item will only accept a specific green mod).

Cool idea, make the greens a little more predictable. But keep teh chest settings the way they are now, noone knows for sure what type of weapon you can get anymore since they changed the outcome of the chests for every player who opens them, that way if one -player gets the green their wont be a mad dash to the chest.

So, you want chests that drop green items like the ones that bosses drop, yet not the same, hum, let me think about that...

Wait, Don't max gold items havethe same description as the one you just gave?
Don't those max gold items drop at a low rate?

Its already there.

I'd be totally p'd off if I wasted a key just to get a green. At least purples now have the potential to be upgraded into something useful. Greens are unmodable and undyable.

Exactly. Having green weapons come out of chests seems like the same idea as golds, but with green text. Correct, or did I miss something in translation?

It just doesnt make sense to me.

Green drops from Chests? I think the entire primis (cant spell) of Greens is that they are boss weapons.

So the green upgrades idea wouldnt work either, in my opinion. There isnt enough greens in the game to warrant upgrades for them.

But the lack of greens is a good thing, and the lack of being able to upgrade them is good.

If you go to buy a green, your certain of what its stats will be. Their fixed and perfect. If we were able to upgrade them, then they could be anything. It would throw the green market into chaos, because you would have people saying

"WTS: Ragos flame staff + 30hp upgrade"
"WTS: Ragos flame staff + 10 engy"

Why do you need a different types of Green weapon when you have gold drops from chests anyway.

I think what your really wanting is to just have every gold item which drops from a chest to be perfect?

Don't see the point myself..

1. most bosses are soloable
2. same spwan area
3. most greens are already cheap, NF greens will drop inprice soonish
4. most greens can be reproduced by using a collectors item and adding mods.

No real reason for this.

/notsigned! If I want greens I farm them. Chests are for rare golds. Lets leave it this way.

No point. Greens are unique boss items. What makes them unique if you can get them everywhere from ascalon to FoW to Vabbi?
